One of the fastest growing specialist estates consultancies in the country has bolstered its approach to helping public sector organisations prepare sound and effective business cases for transformational projects.
While Shared Agenda has supported clients with robust business cases for several years, it now has 13 team members who are qualified to the Better Business Cases™ Practitioner* standard.
Providing robust rationale for any project, programme of work, or portfolio, Shared Agenda ensures business cases are aligned to service models to compliment the individual direction of each organisation it works with.
The business case process explores in detail all options for change, assessing critical factors such as risks, costs, viability and deliverability to find the best outcome.
Jo Barnes, Managing Director at Shared Agenda, discussed why the team felt this additional qualification was so important in the current climate.

Alongside business cases, Shared Agenda provides strategic property advice, development management, project management and various other services.
The team has a diverse portfolio of business case experience including primary care area development programmes, children’s services for a local authority, mental health inpatient facilities, acute and community service hubs, regeneration sites and cases for new Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) provisions and schools.
Shared Agenda was part of the team which delivered the transformational Jean Bishop Integrated Care Centre (ICC) in Hull, which has transformed care for older people by providing out of hospital care, reducing unnecessary hospital admissions and enabling residents to keep fit. The innovative facility was the first of its kind in the UK and residents can access services under one roof.
In addition, Shared Agenda produced the strategic outline case as part of the business case process for an intermediate care hub model on Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals Trust’s Aging and Vitality Campus, which provides a range of services for older people.
